Arie Afriansyah, S.H., M.I.L., Ph.D.
Arie Afriansyah is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. Besides teaching duties, currently he is also the Chairman of Djokosoetono Research Center Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia; vice chairman, Center for International Law Studies; the Editor in Chief of Indonesia Law Review (www.ilrev.ui.ac.id), Co-Editor of Jurnal Hukum & Pembangunan (www.jhp.ui.ac.id) and the Senior Associate Editor for Indonesian Journal of International Law (www.ijil.ui.ac.id).
Arie teaches several classes in the subjects related to international law both at the undergraduate and graduate level. The subjects, among others, are Public International Law, The Law of Treaties, International Environmental Law, The Law of the Sea, Diplomatic Law, and The Law on International Organisations.
Arie obtained his Bachelor in Law (Sarjana Hukum/SH) in August 2003 from Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. In December 2006, he received the degree of Master of International Law (MIL) from the University of Sydney Law School, Australia. Finally, Arie obtained his Doctorate Degree in Law (Ph.D) at the Faculty of Law, University of Otago, New Zealand in August 2013.
