Deni Ferdian, S.T., M.Sc
Deni Ferdian is a lecturer at Dept. of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. He holds degree from Universitas Indonesia (Sarjana Teknik - Bachelor of Engineering) Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam-Netherland (Master of Science) and Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (INPT) – France (Doctor, in Material Science). His main research interests in the field of metal solidification especially the intermetallic formation in Aluminum-Silicon alloy. He has taught courses on advanced manufacturing process, kinetics and phase transformation, physical metallurgy and other relevant subjects at all levels.
Since 2003, he is been involving with several failures analysis investigations when serves as Div. Head at CMPFA - a department venture unit. He is been a key member for SNI ISO/EIC 17025 accreditation of “Laboratorium Departemen Teknik Metalurgi dan Material (LP-520-IDN)”, which is the 15th lab accredited in metal testing field and the first university laboratory in Indonesia to receive it. In addition, he is also a member of BSN Technical Committee – 77.01, which dealing with Indonesian standard related to the metal product.
