Emil Bachtiar is a lecturer in Department of Accounting, University of Indonesia. He joined Universitas Indonesia as a full time lecturer in 1989.


His teaching at undergraduate level has mostly focussed on Global Business, Management Control Systems, Management Information Systems, and Accounting Information Systems. He also teaches Business and Professional Ethics for graduate level. 

 

His research interest primarily in the area  of the corporate governance, business ethics, and corruption. He is also interested in management accounting and accounting education research.

 

He was a consultant and researcher at Management Institute Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia (1987-2000) and Finance & Administration Secretary for Master of Management Program Department of Management University of Indonesia. He was also a member of Proposal Team of UI BHMN (1999 - 2000), a member of Committee of Accounting National Exam (2000 - 2004), member of University of Indonesia Senate (2012-2013), and Secretary of Faculty of Economics Senate (2012-2013). Currently he is   a President/Independent Commissioner of  PT Ekadharma International Tbk since 2014 and the Head of Ethics Commitee of Indonesian Institute of Accountants since 2015.
