Profile

Muhammad Hafizhuddin Hilman is a teaching and research staff at Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Indonesia, since 2012. He was born in Tasikmalaya on April 21, 1987. He received his bachelor degree from Universitas Indonesia in 2010. In 2011, he finished his Master in Computer Science and 2014 he got the scholarship from Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), Ministry of Finance, Republic of Indonesia to pursue Ph.D. in Computer Science at University of Melbourne, Australia.

He joined CLOUDS Lab as a Ph.D. student in January 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Rajkumar Buyya and Prof. Andrew Melatos. He is working on Scientific Workflow Management under direct supervision from Dr. Maria A. Rodriguez. His area of interest includes Cloud Computing, Scientific Workflows, Cloud Scheduling, and Cloud Resource Management.

As part of his Ph.D. research, he investigates into the workflow as a service environment. Naturally, putting scientific workflow computation into service that provides utility leasing for scientific users. He works on several algorithms on dynamic scheduling and resource provisioning for multiple workflows and modeling workflow as a service environment.

At the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Indonesia, he was responsible for subjects including The Foundation of Computer Architecture, Operating System, Parallel Programming, and Open Source Software Development. He was working under the High-Performance Computing Research Group under the supervision of Prof. Heru Suhartanto, Ph.D. on Drug Discovery and Drug Design Research Projects. The collaborator of this group including Dr. Arry Yanuar from Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Indonesia; Alhadi Bustamam, Ph.D., Dept. Mathematics, FMIPA, Universitas Indonesia; Prof. Kevin Burrage, Ph.D. from Oxford University, England; A/Prof. Xue Li, Ph.D. from University of Queensland, Australia; and Dr. Jan Pidanic from the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic.
