Dr. Hudaya was born in a small village, Bandar Harapan, District of Terbanggi Besar,  Province of Lampung, Sumatera Island, Indonesia. He earned his bachelor degree at Department of Electrical Engineering, Universitas Indonesia in July 2006. After graduation, he served as a lecturer assistant at the Division of Electric Power Engineering Universitas Indonesia for 1 semester. He received a scholarship funded by Korean Government under Graduate Scholarship for excellent Foreign Students (GSFS) Program at Department of Energy Systems Engineering, Seoul National University, Korea. He focused his research interest on Nuclear Safety Analysis and completed the program on February 2009.

During pursuing his master degree in Korea, he did internships at 3 conglomerate companies i.e., Samsung Engineering & Construction Ltd, SK Gas Ltd and Samsung Cheil Industry Ltd. At those enterprises, he was placed in the Overseas Business Development team which had responsibility to analyze the possibility of market development in Indonesia. He was also actively participated in social and cultural activities. For examples, he served as a Secretary General of Indonesian Student Association in Korea (PERPIKA) as well as an instructor for world culture heritages (WCH), exploring WCH site in Indonesia under MIZY Center Program (a center operated by UNESCO Korea) in winter and summer vacation 2007-2008. As his dedication to public education in nuclear engineering field, he developed his personal website http://www.nuklir.info (now moved to blog http://hudaya.wordpress.com ).

On August 2009, he started his career as a lecturer at the Department of Electrical Engineering. He received the Most Favorite Lecturer Award from Student Association (IME) in 2010. Since Spring 2011, he joined the doctoral degree at the Department of Energy and Environmental Engineering, University of Science and Technology (UST) campus of Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). He devoted his research on the energy-related materials including but not limited to the anode and cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries, smart windows and transparent heaters, under supervision of Prof. Joong Kee Lee. Due to his productive research, he was honored numerous awards including the awards from Mayor of Daejeon City, Korea, President of KIST and President of UST. 

Since his graduation on February 2016, he returned back to the Universitas Indonesia. He was directly appointed by the Dean Faculty of Engineering as a Special Staff for Publication under the Associate Dean for Research and Community Engagement. For about 1 year, he dedicated to increase the quantity and quality of publication on international journals for graduate students and lecturers. He did routinely coaching clinic for the graduate students about academic writings and developed the research information and data system of Faculty of Engineering UI. 

On January 2017, he was promoted as Assistant Professor (Lektor) at Department of Electrical Engineering UI. On April 2017, he and his student Fadolly Ardin received the First Prize of Pertamina Idegila Energy Competition for category of Innovative Business Ideas. Furthermore, on May 2017 Dr. Hudaya was awarded the First Prize of Excellent Lecturer in Universitas Indonesia, representing UI to the national-wide competition.

Dr. Hudaya holds motto : "the best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind". His passion is teaching. Now his team are devoting the research activities on affordable and inexpensive energy and electricity provision for the benefit of society.
