Anom Bowolaksono is a member of the teaching and research staff at Departemen Biologi, FMIPA, Universitas Indonesia, since 1998. He was born in Jakarta on June 1, 1974. He received his sarjana degree from Universitas Indonesia in 1997. In 2006, he finished his Master in Animal Reproduction and in 2009, he received Doctor in Reproductive Biology from Okayama University, Japan. Between 2009 and 2010 he spent his post doctoral research time at the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Okayama University. Then, in fall 2012, he got a chance as Fulbright visiting schholar at Center for Global Health Studies of University of Washington, Seattle, USA.
His current research interests are in the area of reproductive biology on reproductive hormone that regulates the estrus cycle and ovulation. One of his research hold with Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, School of Medicine, University Of Indonesia, their research joined in Indonesia Reproductive Medicine Research and Training Center (INAREPROMED) since this year. He is also research associate in several research centers, i.e. Research Center for Climate Change University of Indonesia (RCCC-UI) and Center of Ageing Study University of Indonesia (CAS-UI)
Up to now he has written many scientific papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings. Some of them can be viewed at PubMed NCBI databases. His papers are included in Biology of Reproduction and Animal Reproduction Science (Elsevier). He is a member of the Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction (ASPIRE).
At the Departemen Biologi, Universitas Indonesia, he is responsible in some lecturer including Principle of Biology, Basic of Genetic, Advance Genetic and Molecular Genetics. He also select as a member of University of Indonesia Core Team Researcher.
