Dr. Drs. Ricardi S. Adnan was born in Jakarta, May 2, 1967. He graduated from Sociology Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia in 1992 and continued his study to obtain his master degree on Business Administration from University of Indonesia in 2000. Then he gain doctoral degree in History focusing in automobile industry in Indonesia. He is a lecturer of several subjects in Departement of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences such as Introduction to Sociology, Indonesia Social System, Educational Sociology, Sociology of Knowledge and Sociology of Indonesia. He is also a researcher for several study centres in Faculty of Social and Political Sciences: Selo Soemarjan Research Centre, Sosiology Laboratory, Communication Research Centre and The Research Centre For Local Governance.
